Dance Like No One is Watching! (3.2)
How are you developing your identity as a technology leader/facilitator?
I am developing my identity as a technology leader and facilitator by building relationships, making connections, giving more than I am taking. I believe that if you are going to guide and teach someone they have to trust you first. They have to understand you are not there to break them down but build them up. Criticism, constructive or not, is always scary. I don't want to just critic someone I want to give them tools to reach their own personal goals!

How are you building relationships with individuals in your practicum school, district, and
classroom?
I am building relationships with individuals in my practicum classroom by helping, seeking out the teachers needs and desires and helping her obtain those goals. It is not about me, it is about how I can help her! Teachers need choice in their quest to become better.

Give an example of how you have started to empower others to be risk-takers?

I have empowered risk takers by taking my own risks. I invited the teacher I am working with to come into my classroom and watch me teach. I also called in my district coach to help guide me on some cool new things she is working on, specifically a rubric that helps gauge students skill level in the current unit we are in. This wasn't easy and it was kind of scary! But, I learned something new and offered to show the teacher I am working with the process.
